Online Maps Not Working in Older Versions

Issue:

You have installed an older version of AutoCAD / AutoCAD based software (2020 and older) on a new machine and Online maps are not functioning.

Causes:

This issue seems to be stemming from the older software is not provisioning properly to allow online maps or dev.virtualearth.net is being blocked (port 80 [http] & port 443 [https]).

If the website is being blocked, you will not get a Bing Logo or a map on your screen.

Solution:

The simplest solution is to install 2022 or 2023 version of the software, update all components, then launch the newer version, verify that you can display an online map, then it will provision your account and the older version should now be able to display maps.
