Civil 3D: When launching you receive error “Unhandled exception in AeccUiMgd.dll”

Issue:

Civil 3D: When launching you receive error “Unhandled exception in AeccUiMgd.dll”.

 

This will display as an AutoCAD Error.

"Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Could not load file or assembly 'AeccUiMgd.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found"

Causes:

Corrupted AeccUiMgd.dll file.

Solution:

Verify that you in fact do have the AeccUiMgd.dll. This file should be located in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD <<VERSION>>\C3D.

Try copying the file from a system that is functioning properly.

If the file from another system does not work then perform a clean uninstall/reinstall.
