Autodesk Fabrication Configuring a Tap Fitting

Issue:
You need to create a tap fitting in Fabrication CADmep or CAMduct but the fitting (CID) shows tees. After researching all the different takeoff fittings show branch fitting as tee and there are not any fittings (CID) for just a tap fitting.

Solution:
By using the tee fitting such as CID 58 you can turn off the main duct for the tee to create a tap.
Use makepat or double click on one of the fittings under the HVAC – Systems – Round folder in the Item selection dialog box to open one of the tee fittings to open the pattern settings dialog box.
On the Options tab change the Pipe Part from 1 to No Pipe to remove the main and turn the tee into a tap.

Select the redraw button

Now you have a tap fitting for use.
