You are unable to BORROW a Network license of the IMAGINiT Utilities for Revit 2022-2018

Issue:

You are unable to BORROW a Network license of the IMAGINiT Utilities.

Note: this may happen in any/all versions of our Utilities for Revit.

You may even receive a -17 error in the licensing dialog.

Causes:

We have an updated build of our Utilities for Revit 2022 that should resolve this problem.

Solution:

Here’s how to implement the new build.

  1. Uninstall the existing version.
  2. Download the updated version here:  http://s3.amazonaws.com/IMAGINiTSoftware/Transfer/RevitUtilities2022Standalone.zip   (yes it says standalone, but it’s generic for licensing purposes)
  3. Install the newer version.
  4. Reboot the computer.
  5. Launch Revit and test the license Borrowing.

The reboot is important as mine failed until I rebooted the computer.
