Linked Revit Cloud Models Don't Update on Sync to Central

Issue:

When working on a Revit Cloud Project (hosted on BIM 360 or Docs) and a change is made to a linked file, the changes are not reflected after synchronizing the host project.

Causes:

Synchronization with central files do not automatically reload the linked files in the project.

Solution:

Links in cloud collaboration are refreshed under the following circumstances:

  • Opening or reopening the host model will load the latest version of any link in a "Loaded" state.
  • Manually doing "Reload" or "Reload From" will always load the latest version of a live link.
