Error Code: -1073741819 When Installing Autodesk Products

Issue: Autodesk Installation logs show "Error Code: -1073741819" after a failed installation. 

Solution:

  1. In the Windows search bar enter "Services".
  2. In Services confirm that the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service exists.
  3. If the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service is not running, right click on the service and click "Start".
  4. If the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service is not listed install it here.
  5. Try the installation again.

If the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service is already running in Services:

  1. Open Windows File Explorer.
  2. Navigate to  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing.
  3.  Run the uninstall.exe as an administrator.
  4. Once the folder is empty, re-install the latest version of the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service here.
  5. Try the installation again.
