Autodesk Products Must Be Closed for Scheduled Updates

Issue:

Does the Autodesk product associated with a Scheduled Update policy need to be closed for the update to install successfully?

Solution:

A scheduled update will not be installed if the application being updated is still open at the scheduled update time. In this situation, the update will be marked as Missed.

When an update is missed, the Scheduled Update process will automatically retry the installation at the same scheduled time over the next three days. If the update is not successfully installed during any of these retry attempts, it will remain pending until the next scheduled update cycle.

Important: Users will not be able to launch the Autodesk product while an update is being installed. The application will remain unavailable until the update process has completed successfully.
