How to Install Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022

Shawn Heator

Issues:

Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA) is an add-in for Civil 3D and Map 3D and is included in the Architecture Engineering & Construction Collection. This add-on was previously included in the default Civil 3D installation media as an optional install for versions 2013-2021. There is not a clear option to download and install Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022 from inside your Autodesk account and it does not install during installation of Civil 3D 2022 or AutoCAD Map 3D 2022.

Causes:

Autodesk changed how Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022 is installed compared to previous versions of SSA. It is now a separate download, available as an add-on extension, for Civil 3D 2022 and Map 3D 2022.

Solution:

Autodesk has released an update for Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022 called Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022.0.1 Update. When this update was released, the original installation media was pulled by Autodesk so only the updated version is available for download. This can lead to confusion since the available download is labeled as an “update” but it also installs the Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022 add-on.

Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022 can be installed through either the user Autodesk account at https://manage.autodesk.com or the Autodesk Desktop App.

Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022 will show as an available install from the Autodesk Desktop App if you already have Civil 3D 2022 or Autodesk Map 3D 2022 installed. Launch the Autodesk Desktop app and go to the My Updates down arrow. Find the the Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022.0.1 Update to install the updated version of Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022.

Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2022 can also be found in your Autodesk account under Product Updates.

Once Storm and Sanitary Analysis is installed, an icon should automatically be placed on your Desktop. The program can also be accessed through the Autodesk folder found in Windows Start.
