Issue:
AutoCAD: WBlock Operation Rejected Due to a Proxy Object that Does Not Allow Copying.

A Proxy object is an object that was created by a 3rd Party or an Autodesk Vertical program. This means AutoCAD does not understand the object. So, it cannot do anything with the object.

Example: You open a file created by a 3Rd Party Add-on or an Autodesk vertical such as (Civil 3D, architecture, etc).

Object Enable required
Corruption
Unsupported object

Solution:


Object Enabler
Proxy objects come from a program that creates the Objects such as a 3rd Party add-on or an Autodesk Vertical. We have a Civil 3D object and we open this into standard AutoCAD. AutoCAD does not understand these objects. We can use an Object Enabler for Civil 3D which would install on top of your normal AutoCAD and would allow you to view and perform basic work with these objects. Normally a 3rd Party would have one on their website if available, Autodesk has Several.
1.)    Go to manage.autodesk.com.
2.)    Login.
3.)    Go to Products and Services.
4.)    Go to the AutoCAD listing.
5.)    Select details at the bottom. (See Figure 1)
6.)    Select the tab of the version you are using.
7.)    Select Plug-ins. (See Figure 2)
8.)    Download the enabler in question.
9.)    Then install the enabler.

Corruption
You can try to run the Audit command and see if this will help although in most cases without an enabler or the original program. This may not help.
1.)    Type AUDIT at the command and select the <Enter> key on your keyboard.
2.)    Select Y for yes to fix errors and then select the <Enter> key on your keyboard.
3.)    Test Wblock again.


DXF
Another trick you can try is to try to DXF out the Drawing. DXF is a go between language Autodesk created years ago for backwards computability and then released to the public. You can try to write out a DXF version and then see if you can import it into a new drawing file.

1.)    Type DXFout in the command line and select the <Enter> key on your keyboard.
2.)    When the dialog opens select the location, you want to create the DXF file. (See figure 3)
3.)    Select Save.
4.)    Start a new file.
5.)    Type DXFin and select the <Enter> key on your keyboard.
6.)    Select the file you exported.
7.)    Select open.
You can also try different versions, some of the earlier versions may not notice vertical objects. Use the same process as above. Then change the version at the bottom of the dialog. (See Figure 4)

You can also try inserting the problem drawing into a new drawing
1.)    Start a new drawing.
2.)    Type DDinsert into the command line and select the <Enter> key on your keyboard.
3.)    Browse and select the problem file.
4.)    Select open.
5.)    Select OK.
6.)    Save the new file.
You may need to explode the objects after insertion.
