Civil 3D linetypes look different in model and paper space

Issue: Linetypes display correctly in Model Space but appear continuous or wrong inside Layout viewports.

Cause: Linetype scaling (MSLTSCALE, PSLTSCALE, LTSCALE) is mismatched between Model Space and Paper Space.

Solution:

  • Set MSLTSCALE = 1 so linetypes respect annotation scaling in Model Space.

  • Set PSLTSCALE = 1 so linetypes scale properly in viewports.

  • Use a consistent LTSCALE (often 1 or 0.5) across the drawing.

  • Regenerate (REGENALL) and resave — this fixes most viewport display glitches.
