Autodesk Licensing Uninstall Issue

Issue:

Unable to remove Licensing using the following blog:

Folders in the folder below are not all removed after the steps in the blog:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing

Causes:

Corruption of licensing services & user not having proper permissions.

Solution:

  1. Right click on the Adsklicensing folder and go to properties. Give the user all permissions.

Click on the security tab, find the users section. Click “Edit” button. Click check boxes to allow permissions for all except special permissions. Click “Ok”.

  1. Rename the “Adsklicensing” folder to “Adsklicensing.old”
  2. Download the latest licensing service update and install by running as admin.

This download can be found in the Autodesk desktop app or in the manage.autodesk.com portal.

This is the current version:

  1. If it installs correctly and does not give you this error:

Then delete the “Adsklicensing.old” folder
