Issue:
After creating a bridge to another ACC project, the user changes the name of the folder in the source project. The user expects the folder to update with the new name in the target project, but the folder name remains the same.
Cause:
This behavior is working as designed.
The Autodesk Docs Bridge sync is primarily for files and their contents. The target project maintains control over its folder structure and naming, even for bridged content. Automatic syncing is used to push updates from the source project to the target project. This includes new files and new versions of existing files. Changes to the folder name or location are not recognized as an update.
In the example below, an automatic bridge was created between the "Source Project" and the "Target Project" on a folder originally named "Revit". After the bridge was created, the Revit folder was renamed to "Models" on the source project. Note: the folder name did not update in the target project.
Solution/Workaround:
If you need the folder name to be updated in the target project, the project administrator in the target project must manually rename the receiving folder.
