Capture More. Work Faster. Meet the New Leica RTC Series

August 31, 2026 Sarah Manfroni

Reality capture teams are under pressure to collect accurate information faster, cover more ground, and make sure they have everything they need before leaving the jobsite. When field time is limited, returning to a site because of missing data or spending unnecessary time on scanning and processing can quickly impact schedules and productivity.

The new Leica RTC Series was designed with these challenges in mind.
With the RTC300, RTC500, and RTC700, Leica gives teams more options for balancing speed, range, accuracy, and workflow requirements, so they can choose the right level of technology for the work they actually do.

Less Time in the Field. More Confidence in Your Data.
One of the biggest challenges with reality capture is getting the right data the first time. The RTC Series combines fast scanning with high point cloud accuracy, helping teams capture existing conditions efficiently without sacrificing the quality of the information they bring back to the office.

The three scanners provide options for different project demands:

  • RTC300 offers an 85-meter range and scanning speeds up to 1 million points per second, making it a flexible option for everyday reality capture.
  • RTC500 extends the range to 130 meters and captures up to 2 million points per second for teams that need greater productivity and coverage.
  • RTC700 reaches up to 270 meters and adds higher-resolution scanning and advanced surveying capabilities for larger and more demanding projects.

That flexibility means teams aren't forced into a one-size-fits-all approach. They can select the capabilities they need today while having a path to expand as their reality capture requirements grow.

Avoid the “Did We Get Everything?” Problem
Few things are more frustrating than leaving a jobsite only to discover that something was missed.

The RTC Series works within a broader reality capture workflow that allows teams to remotely operate the scanner and verify their scans before leaving the site. From there, captured data can move through registration and cleanup and into downstream workflows for modeling, analysis, and clash detection.

The goal is a smoother path from field capture to usable project data, with fewer unnecessary steps and greater confidence in the information your team is working from.

Find the Right Reality Capture Workflow
The best scanner isn't simply the one with the longest range or fastest scan rate. It's the one that solves the challenges your team encounters every day.

IMAGINiT's Reality Capture experts can help you evaluate your current process, identify where you're losing time or creating extra work, and determine which Leica RTC Series scanner and workflow best fits your projects.

Whether you're getting started with reality capture, replacing older technology, or looking to increase the productivity of an existing scanning program, we'll help you find a solution that makes sense for your team.
