Overview: What's New in IMAGINiT Clarity 2025

July 18, 2024

IMAGINiT Clarity provides Revit design automation and analytics, streamlining work on Revit, BIM Collaborate Pro, and Construction Cloud projects. Firms using IMAGINiT Clarity save an average of over 200 hours per project per year.

The IMAGINiT Clarity 2025 release includes support for the new version of Revit, product enhancements and fixes, Oracle Aconex integration, and other smaller enhancements. Here are a few highlights from the latest version of IMAGINiT Clarity:

  • Revit support. IMAGINiT Clarity 2025.x supports Revit/Revit Server 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. There is limited support for Revit 2020 tasks when running a 2024.1 Task Server. It’s important to note that Revit 2025 products support Microsoft .NET 8. This represents a significant change. For organizations that do their own add-ins or Dynamo nodes, the upgrade to Revit 2025 will require additional time.

  • Product enhancements and fixes
    • Revit Error Resolution. Error resolution settings can now be configured in the Clarity Task Tray user interface, as well as centrally in Global Task Settings. Task server settings can be pushed to the host and then other task servers can subscribe to those changes.
    • Dialog Suppression. In the Clarity Task Tray, it’s now possible to configure almost any pop-up dialogue in the Revit context. This is useful, for example, if schema conflict issues arise when a model is shared with multiple partners.
    • Common Task Targets. Targeting tasks can be challenging if a model is renamed or many models are associated with a project. In Clarity 2025, users can set up a common set of task targets and use that across the entire project.
    • Additional Task Server Alerts. These alerts can prevent problems before they occur, notifying teams about low disk space, low RAM, and low tokens. Task server health alerts can be sent out via email, and they are also visible in Clarity’s Task Coordinator view.
    • Consistent BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud Pathing. The Autodesk API now allows Clarity to report the full file path to users, even if they don’t have permission to visit upper-level paths. This functionality can be enabled by running the Clarity Path migration tool during the Clarity install and upgrade process. This tool can also be run in a test mode.
    • Migration to Unified Sync. This feature consolidates eight to nine different file synchronization tasks in Clarity. Organizations can opt in by running a migration tool that transforms existing synchronization tasks to Unified Sync.
    • Additional Analytics. IMAGINiT receives anonymous analytics from most Clarity servers. The Clarity 2025 release adds more information to server analytics related to the kinds of task errors that users see. IMAGINiT will monitor these anonymous analytics on an ongoing basis, with the goal of making Clarity more stable and predictable.
    • Space Programming Enhancements. Clarity offers a space programming module for an additional fee. This is used primarily by architects working on early-stage space programming and planning. Clarity 2025 adds more options to this module which include:
      • 1:1 room requirements. This new project option makes updates simpler, and data can now flow bi-directionally between Clarity and other programs.
      • Calculated fields. This new custom program parameter option enables users to create custom parameters that are calculated based on other parameters (either built in or custom).
      • New synchronization options. It’s now possible to have an automatic sync to Clarity after a sync to central.
  •  Oracle Aconex Integration. For an additional fee, IMAGINiT Clarity 2025 includes a module which supports integration with Oracle Aconex. With the post-task action functionality, users can deliver files generated by Clarity tasks into an Aconex document repository or document register. Clarity 2025 also offers unified sync between ACC and Aconex projects, as well as mandatory metadata mapping between Aconex and either Revit and BIM 360, and improved metadata mapping for situations where the names of metadata in ACC doesn’t match Aconex.
