Inventor: Create Team Web Page

Issue:
Interface built into Inventor that allows users to access commonly used company data without leaving the Inventor program.
 
Autodesk: To Use Team Web to Access your Custom Help or Start Page

Causes:
Users need access to a single source of truth to company data, for example: standards, best practices, training.

Solution:
Create html web page using Microsoft Word and integrate into Team Web within Inventor.


 
1.    Start with blank Word document, add image(s) 
2.    Create links to internal and external web pages as required.
  
 
3.    Select File tab from tool bar, select Save As and enter file name.
4.    Select Web Page (*.htm, *.html) from file type drop down.
5.    Select Save (file and folder should be located where all users can access).
 
 
 
6.    File and Reference folder must be moved together if required.
 
 
 
7.    Open Inventor, select Tools tab, select Application Options, select File tab.
8.    Scroll to Team Web section, add check to Check Box, Show Team Web on startup.
9.    Browse for saved file created with Word (file and folder should be located where all users can access). 
10.    Select Apply and Close.
  
 
11.    Company Team Web accessed by selecting Tools tab, followed by Team Web icon on the ribbon.
12.    Team Web can be accessed by selecting the drop down followed by Team Web.
13.    Selecting one of these access methods will create a Team Web tab.
