How to Turn Off Activity Insights in Autodesk 2024 Products

Issue:
You really don’t need or want the Activity Insights running and have not found a way to turn if off or disable it.

Solution:
The best way to disable this function is to type ACTIVITYINSIGHTSSUPPORT into the command line and set that value to 0 (zero).

An alternative method is to rename the folder where the EXE files that monitor the activity are stored.

1. Make sure that you have rebooted your machine and have not launched any Autodesk products
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\
3. Rename the folder AutoCAD Activity Insights to AutoCAD Activity Insights-old or AutoCAD Activity Insights-1

This will now prevent Autodesk software from monitoring the activity on files and there is no detriment to the software functions or behavior.

If you want to start tracking the activity, rename the folder back

Be aware, that if you install updates, this folder may get recreated, so after running updates, be sure to go back and confirm there is not a new AutoCAD Activity Insights folder.
