3ds Max: How to reset 3ds Max to defaults settings

Issue:
3ds Max: How to reset 3ds Max to defaults settings.
There are several reasons to reset 3ds Max back to defaults settings, User file Corruption, Crashing, Freezing, any sort of odd behavior can be a result of corrupted 3ds Max files.

Causes:
3ds Max system file corruption.
   •    Could include.
      o    Problems with UI
      o    Launching issues
      o    Freezing
     o    Crashing
 

Solution:

To reset 3ds Max to its default settings

  1. Close 3ds Max
  2. Open Windows Explorer
  3. Go to the folder C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2024 - 64bit\ENU
  4. Move or rename the ENU folder
  5. Restart 3ds Max

Your 3ds Max should now be reset.
