Issue:
You are an Admin (Primary, Secondary, or SSO) on your Autodesk account and recently opened your Autodesk account to see the following message:

Causes:
Two new policies have been introduced recently (as of the time of the article’s publishing) and the message displayed is intended to notify Autodesk Account Admins of the changes and potential impacts of those changes.
Solution:
The first policy covers “User Role Policy” and allows you to determine if you would prefer to utilize the “User-management based” policy, which automatically treats all users added via one of the Forma collaboration products (Forma, BIM, Flow Tracking, etc.) as external users by default. This requires some manual oversight since your internal users could be classified as “External” simply because of they way they were added. However, as noted, the user’s role can be changed at a later time by an administrator.
The “Domain Based Policy” allows you to configure a list of approved domains so you can automatically set who would be added assigned as standard users versus those would be considered “external.” You can also set exceptions to this policy as needed and those users who are an exception will have a warning symbol beside their role to make it clear that their role is not standard within the policy.

The second policy which you should pay special attention to, is the “Subscription Usage Policy” and the short description is that this policy allows you to control whether or not Forma subscriptions assigned by your Autodesk Account Team can be used on projects from other Teams.
This primarily is intended to prevent your licenses being inadvertently used in scenarios where you may provide a contractor with a license to work on your project and they may be working on projects for other clients as well.
