IMAGINiT at Autodesk University: Sep 15-17, 2026
Friction points - We all have them. We pretend they aren’t there, but then they pop up at the most opportune time just to remind us that they are still here.
These little or sometimes big, points of friction in our organizations prevent us from doing things smoothly and efficiently. As we add more technology to our tech stack to help solve some of these issues, we inadvertently make things worse. And then add into the mix the ever-pervasive “fear of being obsolete” (FOBO) culture, where we’re all trying to throw AI at everything because it’s what other organizations are doing and we believe it will help resolve our manual processes.
But instead, yet again, we’re potentially adding another point of friction to our processes.
So how do we make heads or tails of it all? Common points of friction happen when data flows between various technology systems, through disconnected processes, and across organizational teams. We often hear our customers talking about how these friction points manifest in their businesses.
Here are some of the common root causes we hear about:
- Disconnected systems
- Inefficient processes
- Manual workarounds
- Inconsistent or incomplete data
- Project handoffs
- Disparate technology
Enterprise Flow Without Friction
At this year’s AU: The State of Design & Make Conference in Las Vegas, IMAGINiT will be exhibiting at Booth #1404, where we will explore all the ways companies can eliminate these points of friction.
Not by throwing more technology at the problems, but by connecting data sources and technology platforms to create seamless flows between enterprise systems while ensuring the right teams have the information they need to make informed decisions.
We’ll be talking about our offerings that help reduce these points of friction:
- Technology Integration & Migration Services
- Digital Transformation Assessments
- Automation Services
- Data Governance
- Applied Learning
- Technology Adoption
- Gap Analysis
- AI Readiness
Our team of experts will be on hand to engage in meaningful conversations about how our technology and consulting offerings can help you blow up these points of friction and get your enterprise data flowing seamlessly between systems and teams.
At the heart of every organization are your people. If they don’t have the information they need to do their jobs efficiently, communication breaks down between teams, which results in frustration and leads to ineffective workarounds and processes. Yet again, that’s friction.

Connecting the Enterprise
Our software development team has been busy focusing on new solutions that alleviate friction points.
Visit our booth and learn about our integration and migration offerings powered by our proprietary IMAGINiT Pulse platform. We’re currently offering 30+ integrations between products including Autodesk, Bluebeam, NetSuite, Procore, Oracle Primavera, Yardi, Microsoft Azure, and many, many more.
We’ll also be teasing our upcoming integration between Outlook and Forma.
More Ways to Remove Friction
We’ve also launched several new services to support our clients’ needs.
Vault Managed Services help take managing Vault upgrades and updates off your plate.
Reality Capture as a Service allows firms to provide scanning services to their customers using IMAGINiT experts. This removes the need to hire in-house teams and invest in expensive equipment to get these projects done. Our reality capture team does the field work and helps import the point cloud data into BIM models turning captured reality into usable digital information.
This is another example of frictionless flow: taking data from the field and helping move it into the systems and workflows where it can be used.
See Frictionless Workflows in Action
If your AEC and Construction teams are constantly doing repetitive tasks and struggle to collaborate with external partners, you won’t want to miss our Clarity session on Tuesday, September 15th, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. in the Grand Luxe Palazzo. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
Learn From Our Experts and Your Peers
In addition, we have 6 amazing IMAGINiT experts sharing their insights during the conference. Enroll in these sessions below to hear what they have to say:
IM2681 Unlocking Autodesk Assistant: Secrets of World-Class Data Management with Vault, Common Data, and PLM Allen Gager and Tyson Copa will share how to use effective prompting and automation to make the most of Autodesk Assistant in Vault, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Forma.
MFG1493 | Engineering Copilot: Real AI Workflows for Vault, BOMs, and Manufacturing Data Tyler Warner and Christian Gessner from coolOrange share practical use cases where AI enhances engineering workflows in Vault environments. You will learn how to design an architecture combining Vault data, APIs, and AI services for real-world scenarios.
IM3666 | Link it Up: Using the Electromechanical Link Between AutoCAD Electrical and Inventor Bryan Fields will explain how to link your schematics in AutoCAD Electrical software to models in Inventor.
AU4198 | From Single Client to Multi-Tenant: Forma Data Management Architecture for APS App Store Success Matt Mason and Michael Beale from Autodesk introduce the “robot-per-tenant” pattern: provisioning unique robot email addresses per customer, which ensures token scope isolation at the identity level.
BES1763 | Strengthening Your Core: Working with AutoCAD Core Console – Matt Miyamoto will show how you can use the AutoCAD Core Console to execute scripts, run custom applications, and automate repetitive CAD tasks without ever opening the AutoCAD interface.
We also have several customers who will be sharing insights at the conference as well as during the PLM summit on how they improved their data workflows.
And, Of Course, There’s LEGO
LEGO is all about taking individual pieces and connecting them to create something bigger. Your enterprise is no different. For all the LEGO fans, we’ll be raffling off an awesome LEGO set each day to keep your imagination engaged.
At the IMAGINiT booth, simply submit your entry via the GoCanvas form about your organization’s friction points for a chance to win. Who knows, your friction point may inspire a future IMAGINiT offering.
Let's Turn Friction Into Flow
We can’t wait to engage with you all at AU: The State of Design & Make Conference
We want to hear about the challenges your companies face. Where does work slow down? Where does data get stuck? Where do teams struggle to connect? Where are manual processes getting in the way of doing great work?
More importantly, we want to talk about how we can work together to make those things better.
Because every organization has friction. The goal isn’t to add more technology to work around it. It’s to understand where the friction exists and connect the people, data, processes, and technology that keep your business moving.
We love a frictionless flow and we hope you do, too! See you in Vegas!
